Folk Club Bonn Singers' Night

Ganz nach angloamerikanischer Art ist dies ein Ort, wo der Fremde zum Freund wird, wo man sich ein Mal im Monat trifft, um Musik unverstärkt und ohne Firlefanz zu spielen.
Unverstärkt und unkompliziert, man kann es als Musikfest für internationale Folk, Blues, Roots, Country und Weltmusik bezeichnen, auch Tanz und Rezitationen sind willkommen. Kurz: Ein "Folk Club" in der Tradition der Angelsachsen.
Es ist alles erlaubt, was nicht verboten ist und verboten sind nur Verstärker. Geraucht wird nicht, es sei dann die Musik ist "smoking". Der Raum und die Musik gehen eine Symbiose ein, die frei von künstlichen Geschmacksverstärkern ist.
Die Stamm-Musiker sind John Harrison, ein notenresistenter Bluessänger aus dem alten Europa und Barry L. Roshto, ein klassisch ausgebildeter Musiker aus der Neuen Welt mit mehr Noten als die Stiftung Warentest. Zwei Männer, getrennt durch dieselbe Sprache und vereint durch die Liebe zur Musik, der universellsten aller Sprachen.

Anglo American style, a place where total strangers meet peacefully once a month and play simple honest acoustic music. Free admission and open to people of all ages to either just come along and listen, or hopefully to come and sing and/or play and do a "floor spot”.
Unplugged and unpretentious, one can certainly call it a feast of international folk, blues, roots, country and world music, with even dance and poetry allowed, but really it’s just a plain and simple old fashioned folk club.
Everything is allowed that is not expressly forbidden, and the only thing that is forbidden is the electric amplifier. The only thing that is "smoking” should be the music. The room is small enough and music has sufficient power in itself, without artificial steroids.
Resident singers and musicians are John Harrison, a noteless blues singer from the old continent and Barry L. Roshto, a classically trained musician with more notes than the Federal Reserve Bank from the new continent. Two men separated by the same language, yet united in their love of music, the most unifying language of all.
