A new chapter of their ongoing story will open, soon…4 years after the latest release "Home”, a headliner tour
in 2015, constant touring with acts like Axxis, Sôber and Rage and a really good international festival appearance,
it’s time to begin the new chapter with a headline tour through the UK and Europe in May 2018, to celebrate the
release of their new album "HERO”.

C.O.P. UK

With their power, melodies, hooks and unmistakable
aura of arena-sized magnitude, C.O.P. UK (Crimes of
Passion UK) having been making waves throughout
Europe over the last 5 years.
Formed in 2005 in the Steel city of Sheffield England,
they immediately leapt into playing as many shows as
possible. Honing their craft on a multitude of stages,
the band recorded their debut album ‘To Die For’,
in 2011 at Blind Guardian’s Twilight Hall studios,
Orion studios in Sheffield, before being completed at
Helloween’s Tenerife studio.
It was during this spell that C.O.P. UK garnered major
interest from one of modern metal’s founding fathers.
Saxon’s Biff Byford personally invited them to tour
Europe in May / June of 2011, touring with them again
later that year, as well as appearing at metal festivals
throughout the continent.
2012 saw C.O.P. UK’s ascent continue, with
recognition from Metal Hammer magazine and further
prestigious festival appearances such as the world
famous Wacken Open Air and Bloodstock in the
UK coupled with the major support on the UK leg of
W.A.S.P’s 30th Anniversary tour.
Their ascension was further boosted by signing to
UDR Music in 2015 where in October they released
a 4 track, 2 video EP titled "Kiss Of An Angel”.
In 2016, they released their full length debut for UDR
Music entitled ‘No Place For Heaven’.
Produced and mixed by Sascha Paeth himself
(musician and songwriter for Avantasia, Epica and
others), the band have delivered 11 briskly addictive,
exciting hard rock classics with influences ranging
from hometown heroes Def Leppard to the likes of
Saxon, Megadeth and classic White Lion.
"It’s good to see there are bands that are not denying
where they came from, and ones who can still look
ahead and are open to new influences,” says producer
Paeth, and it’s crystal clear from opener "The Core”
that C.O.P. UK want to evoke the influence of such
groups while injecting some new energy and steel
into the proceedings. Songs such as the epicallystructured
"No Place For Heaven” with Cloudy Yang
dovetailing wonderfully with Radcliffe to form a true
radio-hugger the speedy melodic-metal thrust of
"Halo” and the soaring emotions of "Catch Me If You
Can” show a band whose steel-coated delivery and
expansive embrace of classic-yet-fresh songwriting
earmark them as a hard rock force which cannot be
kept quiet.
"Always remember,” states Paeth, "real singing, real
playing and real song-writing makes real music,
period!”
Indeed, Radcliffe’s warm, soaring vocals always find
perfect melodic congruence with the Staton guitar
axis, making music which feels gloriously timeless,
doubtless the result of an insatiable work ethic which
has prevailed since day 1 of the band´s conception.
The addition of Henning Wanner to the ranks was the
final piece of the puzzle. C.O.P. UK are firm believers
of playing 100% live. With Henning - all keyboards,
orchestrations, and backing vocals have now become
an integral part of the live show. What you hear on the
album is what you here in the live arena.
2016 saw the band embark on a 4 week tour of
mainland Europe opening for German metal legends
Helloween. This culminated in a final show at the
Karlin Arena in Prague to over 4,000 people. The band
also made their debut at the Full Metal Mountain, and
their first ever cruise onboard the Full Metal Cruise IV.
2017 will see the band working as hard as ever. Album
No.3 is well underway, again under the watchful eye of
Sascha Paeth and scheduled for an autumn release,
again on UDR Music.
Sometimes you’re lucky enough to get a chance to
be part of rock history. This is one of those chances.

LUKE GASSER ist nicht zu bremsen. Am 26.05.2017 geht das Schweizer Multitalent mit "Mercy On Me", seinem vierten englischsprachigen Album, an den Start und straft abermals den Volksmund Lügen, der besagt, dass die Eidgenossen eher etwas langsam sind. Von LUKE GASSER weiß man, dass er eigentlich alle 13-14 Monate ein neues Album veröffentlicht, so geschehen mit seinen letzten drei englischsprachigen Alben "Retribution", "Flicker" und "Rock’n’Roll Welfare". Dass es diesmal einige Monate länger gedauert hat, liegt daran, dass LUKE und seine beiden Mitstreiter Zach Prather (Bass) und Rudolf Halter (Drums) ein überaus geschäftiges Jahr hinter sich haben, das mit Auftritten vor Status Quo und Bob Geldof und einer Europatournee mit Nazareth sein fulminantes Ende fand. Scheinbar "nebenher" drehte der kreative Tausendsassa GASSER noch einen Dokumentarfilm für das Schweizer Fernsehen über den Mystiker und nationalen Schutzpatron Niklaus von Flüe (1417-1487), der ein großes Echo ausgelöst hat und schrieb zudem einen historischen Roman mit dem Titel "Und essen mag er auch nicht mehr" über von Flüe, der auf dem besten Weg in die Schweizer Bestseller-Listen ist. (Beide VÖ März 2017)

"Mercy On Me" dürfte das bislang kompakteste und kraftvollste LUKE GASSER-Album sein; zu einem großen Teil live eingespielt und mit nur sparsam eingesetzten Overdubs, bieten die zwölf gradlinigen Nummern powervollen Live-Charakter und legen eine Power an den Tag, mit dem die Schweizer Rocker nicht nur Legenden wie Nazareth und Status Quo überzeugten, sondern auch das Publikum im In-und Ausland. Das Album ist von Energie und Kraft getrieben und überzeugt musikalisch absolut als Rock-Scheibe, doch auch textlich ragen die Songs auf "Mercy On Me" weit über das Mittelmaß hinaus und reflektieren kritisch, aber ohne erhobenen Zeigefinger, aktuelle Geschehnisse aus Politik und Gesellschaft. Für den Song "Stellar Queen" hat sich GASSER zudem den Shakra-Frontmann Mark Fox als musikalischen Gast an Bord geholt, der auch im Videoclip mit dabei ist.

Die Songs aus "Mercy On Me" werden bei den zukünftigen Auftritten von LUKE GASSER das bisher bewährte Set wohl um einige harte Rockriffs und eingehende Songzeilen erweitern und das ist gut so, denn so wie der transsilvanische Fürst der Finsternis, will auch der Rock’n’Roll immer wieder von Neuem mit frischem Blut versorgt werden. Und LUKE GASSER hat immer wieder seine immense Kreativität und schöpferische Kraft unter Beweis gestellt: Während sich heute die meisten Acts oft Jahre Zeit lassen, Neues von sich hören zu lassen, veröffentlicht LUKE fast im Jahrestakt frisches Material mit Substanz, Überzeugung und Herzblut, das bisher überall auf Zustimmung, sogar Begeisterung stößt. "Mercy On Me" dürfte an diese Erfolge anknüpfen und sich als das erweisen, was es ist: Ein 100%-LUKE GASSER-Rockalbum!
