After an intimate kick-off party in April and an offSonar party in Barcelona with the Gomma Crew we are happy to announce another edition of a music and fun loving FLING party in our hometown of Berlin.

This time we celebrate the upcoming album of production genius JOAKIM alongside with friends of the Fling family such as HUNEE, JI-HUN KIM, TDAANCE and berlin newby PROJECT MATT.

It has been a long time in the making, but in the 2nd Half of 2011 Joakim will release his 3rd studio album "Nothing Gold" on Tigersushi Records. It seems impossible to comprehend that the label that brought Joakim as much fame and notoriety as his music, has never released a single piece of music that is 100% produced by him. Alas this fact is true, and therefore it gives us much satisfaction to announce Joakims first single ‘Forever Young’ to be taken from the new Album is also the First Joakim single to be released on Tigersushi. It would be fair to see the release of 'Forever Young' as Joakim's Road To Damascus, and as such comes with an inspiring degree of honesty and self-reverence. "Forever Young' is my song for all the 30-something-year old people out there. I used to hate people between 30 and 40 when I was under 30. I thought they gave up on most of their beliefs and lived a dull and fake life. Love cowards pretending to still be cool, contemptuous grown-ups afraid of the young sharks. But now I'm one of THEM. So I have to cope with that."

‘Find A Way’ is, was and will always be the first song that Joakim started on his ‘Nothing Gold’ album sessions; the spring of the albums seasons, if you will. But, in the good old tradition of ‘Art imitates life, life imitates art’ the purpose of the track became lost and was subsequently scrapped. It was not until Joakim had realized a concept for his third studio album, built the entire album around it and
Replete with remixes from Soulclap, possibly the most in-demand and hottest remix team around today, up-and-coming cosmic disco/house stalwart John Talabot, Marble/Sound Pellegrino's cousin Das Glow with his mad futuristic techno, and finally Australia’s finest export since Peter Weir, Punks Jump Up with a bouncy-steel-drummy afro disco take. Making for a dynamic remix package, that represents the idea that a piece of music can be both sophisticated and fun. In this sense ‘Find A Way’ joins a tradition of Joakim songs such as ‘Are You Vegatarian’ that are often designed to be the comic relief in an album but go on the be the timeless classics that DJ, Music Lovers and Artist find their way back to time and time again.

Hunee eats bumpin’ disco for breakfast, heats up deep jackin’ music for lunch and slows it soulfully down for dinner. In the night he prefers to spend his time cookin a special meal on the turntables. He is a good swimmer too - when he’s out of the water, he makes records for labels like feel music, w.t. records, internasjonal and retreat.

Some might know Ji-Hun for witty words he puts on paper month by month for De:Bug, others by his regular appearances at Farbfernseher an other "places to be" ; ). This time he'll whip up our line-up with his fast fingers on the decks.

Tdaance is the god father of Fling. He was there when the baby was born and caters it with his spiritual guidance. Known for his own party called Macaroni Club and TGA his face is around the scene for a long time.

Project Matt hails originally from Indianapolis, Indiana USA where he grew up skateboarding and listening to Punk and hardcore. At age 18 he packed a bag and headed up to Minneapolis, Minnesota to skate and follow his love of music.

After living in MN for 8 years and throwing hip hop parties there for three years, he made the next logical step and moved to NYC in 2003. Matt played pretty much every club in NYC and was a resident of monthly house and disco party, NEXTAH with Nick Hook (Cubic Zirconia) and Michna. He moved to Berlin this past May.
